growsome is a specialized e-commerce agency for headless and composable commerce architectures. We work with ambitious online retailers and build complex systems using modern tech stacks.

We are deliberately lean, working with a network of freelancers and managing multiple parallel client projects with growing complexity.

We have now reached a point where we can no longer simply "manage" delivery on the side – we need to structurally reorganize it.

The Role

You will take full responsibility for our delivery.

This means: You ensure that all projects are executed profitably, predictably, and stably – not just that they "run."

You are responsible for:

• Project profitability
• Utilization and capacity planning
• Structure and quality in delivery
• Managing our project managers
• Early detection of risks before they become costly

You work closely with the management team and the Head of Engineering, with clear separation of responsibilities:

• The Head of Engineering is responsible for how things are built
• You are responsible for whether they are built profitably and predictably

Your Responsibilities

1. Responsibility for Delivery P&L

• Monitoring project profitability across all accounts
• Early detection of budget overruns
• Building forecasting and transparency (utilization, margin, risks)
• Evaluating proposals before contract signing together with Tech

2. Capacity and Personnel Management

• Planning and managing freelancer allocation across all projects
• Optimizing utilization
• Identifying bottlenecks and overcapacity
• Building a structured team setup

3. Leading and Developing Project Managers

• Professional leadership of all PMs
• Establishing clear delivery standards and playbooks
• Defining reporting, escalation, and decision structures
• Ensuring projects don't depend on individual people

4. Active Risk Management

• Early identification of delivery, scope, and client risks
• Consistent management of scope and change requests
• Clear communication with clients, even in difficult situations

5. AI-Driven Efficiency Improvements

• Introduction and standardization of AI workflows in delivery and QA
• Measuring productivity gains
• Reducing effective delivery costs per feature
• Translating learnings into repeatable processes

Goal: More output at the same or lower cost base.

6. Connecting Sales, Delivery, and Technology

• Technical and operational validation of proposals before closing
• Ensuring realistic scopes and clean calculations
• Close collaboration with Head of Engineering on estimates and risks

7. Building Scalable Delivery Structures

• Standardizing processes across all projects
• Identifying reusable components and patterns
• Reducing chaos and dependencies
• Preparing the organization for further growth

What You Bring

• Several years of experience in delivery responsibility at an agency or consultancy
• Proven experience managing multiple parallel client projects
• Strong understanding of client needs, utilization, and financial management
• Experience working with freelancers or hybrid teams
• Business-fluent English skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and consistently, both internally and with clients
• Ability to structure complex, unclear situations
• Basic technical understanding in e-commerce or software (no coding required)
